The victim is identified as Trisha Jones, age 57, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa
On May 9, 2023 at 6:43am the Prairie du Chien Police Department and Gundersen Ambulance Service was dispatched to the 3M Company plant #50 at 801 North Marquette Road for a report of an injury that resulted from an industrial incident.
Officers and medics arrived on scene and immediately requested Prairie du Chien Fire Department be paged to utilize their extrication equipment. Officers and medics were brought to a victim who had suffered severe injuries as a result of the incident. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
3M Company and its employees cooperated with the initial investigation into the incident and further investigation will be completed by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The police department met with OSHA this afternoon and are working cooperatively to bring closure to this incident.
