Attempted Murder of a Peace Officer

(Cresco, IA) -- A Howard County man faces multiple counts of attempted murder of a peace officer. Mark Michael Zweibohmer is accused of opening fire on Howard County Sheriff's deputies and an Iowa State trooper. The 45-year-old was arrested on Wednesday and is being held on a 100-thousand-dollar cash bond at Winneshiek County Jail. Investigators have not released any details on what led up to the incident.
