Community Generosity Blooms for Residents at Edgewood Convalescent Home and Lincolnwood Assisted Living
By Taylor Bockenstedt, Regional Director of Community Relations/Marketing
Thanks to the generosity of 75 donors from Edgewood and the surrounding communities, each tenant and resident at Edgewood Convalescent Home and Lincolnwood Assisted Living received a beautiful floral arrangement from Blooms in Edgewood. This special delivery not only brightened their rooms but also brought immeasurable joy to each recipient.
There’s something magical about the gift of flowers. For many of our residents, the vibrant colors and fresh scents serve as a reminder that they are cherished and remembered by the community. The surprise delivery sparked countless smiles, happy tears, and heartfelt conversations, reminding us all of the deep connections that exist between our residents and their friends and neighbors outside our walls.
This gesture wouldn’t have been possible without the kindness and support of our community of donors. We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to this beautiful initiative. Your generosity brought light and happiness to the lives of so many, and we are incredibly grateful for the chance to share that joy with our residents.
In a world that can often feel isolating, especially for those in care settings, these floral arrangements were more than just gifts – they were symbols of love, thoughtfulness, and connection. Thank you for making a difference and allowing us to surprise our residents with such a meaningful expression of care.
