Brenda attended the First Baptist Church in Manchester, Iowa, and went to Maquoketa Valley High School, Class of '94.Despite the brevity of her life, Brenda managed to embark on numerous adventures, leaving an indelible mark wherever she went. With her youth group, she went on a mission trip to Jamaica to help build on the interior of the island and do puppet skits for children. She traveled to many places for vacation, including Mexico and Hawaii. Additionally, she made multiple visits to El Salvador, her husband's home country, where she deeply admired the culture.
