Clayton County Accident

An elderly Oelwein woman was injured in a car-semi accident in Clayton County. The Iowa State Patrol reports that 96-year old Hilarey Recker was injured in the accident. On November 3rd at 10:10am, Recker was operating a 1997 Lincoln Town Car eastbound on Highway 13 approaching the intersection with Highway 52 near Farmersburg. Recker failed to stop at the stop sign before turning north and struck a 2013 Reitnouer semi operated by 44-year old Jacob Lehman of New Vienna. The semi ended up in the ditch. Recker was taken to a LaCrosse Hospital for treatment of injuries. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Clayton County Sheriff's Department, MarMac Fire/EMS and Emplify Health LaCrosse.
