Clayton County Authorities release information on Fatal Farm Accident near Holy Cross

Fatal Farm Accident - Rural Holy Cross, IA

The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal accident that occurred on December 29^th, 2025 at a farm in rural Holy Cross.

Preliminary findings indicate the victim was working on the farm when he became entrapped in a piece of agricultural equipment. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office. Currently, no further details are being released out of respect for the family.

Assisting the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office on scene was Holy Cross Fire Department, Holy Cross Ambulance Service and the Iowa State Patrol.
