Clayton County Board of Superivisors approve Safety Improvement Project from Clayton Road in Garnavilo to the Great River Road

The Clayton County Board of Supervisors approved an agreement for a Highway Safety Improvement Project from Clayton Road in Garnavillo to the Great River Road. The project involves paved shoulders and rumble strip work in different areas. The total project totals 955-thousand but the county has received over 830-thousand dollars in grant funding to assist with the cost. Bids for the project will go out in March with work scheduled to begin in July.

The Board approved Bridge Piling Repair work on the Panther Creek Bridge in Millville Township with the bid totaling 22-thousand.

They approved a Human Resource and Safety consulting contract with Johannsen Consulting at a cost of 74-thousand dollars a year as part of a two-year agreement.

The Board voted to extend the moratorium on data mining centers until December of 2026 as County Officials continue to study the issue.
