Clayton County Board of Supervisors Hear a Presentation on a Proposed Small Data Center

The Clayton County Board of Supervisors heard a presentation on a proposed small Data Mining Operation near Postville. A presentation was done for the Board from Eric Wilson on the Center request located near an Allamakee County Electric Substation near Postville. Wilson operates two other small Data Centers in the state. Clayton County currently has a moratorium on Data Centers and more discussion will be held on the idea.

The Supervisors are signed an agreement to apply for Competitive Highway Bridge Program (CHBP) grant funds. If awarded, the funds would apply to the Hamlett Road Bridge near Littleport and the 310th Street Bridge by Guttenberg and work would likely take place in fiscal year 2029.

The Supervisors also will purchase five to seven salvage railroad cars to be used for culver replacement in the county.
