Clermont man arrested and charged in connection in an assault incident

On December 16, 2025, at 12:30PM the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a call of an assault that had occurred at 1003 Larrabee Street in the City of Clermont.  When Deputies arrived, it was learned that a female was assaulted and the suspect left the scene.  After an investigation, the male, later identified as 45-year-old Matthew Wilker of Clermont, was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury (Serious Misdemeanor).  He was transported to the Fayette County Jail to await his initial appearance in court.
