On Sunday, November 6th, 2022, at approximately 7:05 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a four-vehicle traffic crash on Main Street in the Village of Ferryville. An investigation determined that Lindsey L. Lomas-Green (Age 34) of Stoddard, was operating a 2017 GMC Acadia northbound on Main Street. Lindsey reached for her cell phone, veered towards the curb, and struck three unoccupied parked vehicles. Lindsey and her three passengers escaped without injury. As a result of the investigation, Lindsey was cited for inattentive driving. The sheriff’s office was assisted by Ocooch Mountain Rescue, Ferryville First Responders, Ferryville Fire Department, and Milo’s Towing Service.
On Friday, October 28th, 2022, at approximately 8:13 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one-vehicle traffic crash with injuries on County Road X in the Township of Clayton. An investigation determined that Makayla R. Faust (Age 21) of Soldiers Grove, had been operating a 2006 Chevy HHR northbound on County Road X and she veered off the highway onto the shoulder. She over-corrected and lost control of her vehicle. She traveled across both lanes, off the highway, struck a utility pole, and overturned. Makayla sustained injuries and was transported from the scene by ambulance to Vernon Memorial Hospital. As a result of the investigation, Makayla has been charged with operating a motor-vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant and failure to keep a vehicle under control. The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Soldiers Grove Fire Department, North Crawford Rescue, Terry’s Tire & Tow, and Scenic Rivers Energy.
