Crawford County Arrests

On Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, the Crawford County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit (Diego) conducted a traffic stop in the Village of Gays Mills. During the stop, K-9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search ensued, and several baggies of cocaine and drug paraphernalia were discovered. Sarah Olson (37) and Bryant Olson (37) of Gays Mills were arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. The operator of the vehicle, Bryant Olson, exhibited signs of narcotics impairment, and he faces an additional charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance. The K-9 Unit was assisted by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office.


On Friday, June 6th, 2025, Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office investigated the theft of gas from a business in the Village of Soldiers Grove. With the assistance of the Richland County and Vernon County Sheriff’s Offices, the suspect vehicle and suspect were located and identified. The suspect was identified as Megan Strait (31) of Viola, Wisconsin. Strait was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of misdemeanor bail jumping and theft.

On Saturday, June 7th, 2025, Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck in the Village of Gays Mills. The driver of the truck was identified as Cole Mickelson (27) of Gays Mills. During the stop, a search of the truck was conducted and a plastic container containing methamphetamine was discovered. Mickelson was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of operating after revocation, failure to install an ignition interlock device, possession of methamphetamine, and violation of probation.
