Damage totals one-million dollars in business structure fire near Cascade

On April 28, 2026 at 3:51 pm, Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office along with Cascade, Monticello, Farley, Bernard, and Dyersville Fire Departments responded to 951 HWY 136, Cascade, Iowa for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, the commercial building was found to be fully engulfed. Fire Crews were able to successfully extinguish the fire. Green Truck Line Inc, Finzel Repair, and Noonan Trucking LLC were identified as businesses being operated out of the building. The building and contents, consisting of semi tractors and other semi tractor repair equipment are considered a total loss. The total damage is estimated at approximately $1,000,000. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature at this time.
