Decorah man arrested on Identify Theft and more

Incident details: The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Midland  

Police Department in Midland, Texas to request assistance in a case involving identity  

theft. Follow-up investigation indicated Fabian Barrios Gonzalez was the individual  

assuming the identity of an individual from Texas. With the assistance of the Winneshiek  County Attorney's Office, the Sheriff's Office conducted a search warrant at the residence  of Fabian Barrios Gonzalez located on Evergreen Road in Decorah, Iowa. As a result of the  investigation, Fabian Barrios Gonzalez was arrested and booked into the Winneshiek  

County Jail on charges related to the identity theft, a Class C felony, as well as on an  

arrest warrant for FAILURE TO APPEAR - OWI.
