A Dehli man was injured in a motorcycle accident in Delaware County. The accident occurred on September 29th at 9:55pm on Highway 38. 33-year old Joshua John Carl Driscoll was traveing northbound, just south of Ridge Road between Delhi and Hopkinton. Driscoll stated that there were multiple raccoons in the roadway. Driscoll attempted to avoid them but did strike one causing him to put the bike onto its side and he fell. Driscoll complained of injuries to his ribs and collar bone. He was transported to Regional Medical Center by Hopkinton Ambulance. Damage totaled five-thousand dollars.
Delaware County Authorities released information on a two-vehicle accident. The accident occurred on September 27th at 8:59am on 180th Avenue. 47-year old Brett Matthew Clark of Winthrop was stopped at the stop sign150th Avenue when he backed up northbound because a dump truck was entering 180th Avenue and was not going to be able to make the turn. As Clark was backing up, he backed into a 2019 Ford Transit operated by 44-year old Demetrius Keith Allison of Cedar Rapids. Allison complained of some pain in his neck but did not seek medical treatment. Clark was issued a citation for unsafe backing. Allison was charged with failure to provide proof of financial liability.
