Delaware County Authorities release information on four separate accidents and three arrest incidents

Delaware County Authorities released information on four separate accidents. An accident occurred on April 14th at 5:45pm on Highway 20. 28-year old Brandon Keith Gudenkauf of Manchester was operating a 2004 GMC Sierra. The Gudenkauf vehicle was truck by a semi. Gudenkauf had slowed down to pull over due to severe storms, rain, and high winds. The Blue Semi was also pulling over and hit the driver’s side bed of the truck. The semi may not have been aware that they had even been involved in the accident. Damage totaled five-thousand, no injuries and no charges were filed.
On April 9th a three-vehicle accident occurred at 3:03pm on Iowa Highway 13. 42-year old Jennifer Rae Armstrong of Cedar Rapids was operating a 2015 Dodge Dart. Two vehicles ahead had stopped ahead to turn. The Armstrong vehicle rear-ended a 2020 Toyota Camry that was operated by 45-year old Shalean Marie Kuhn of Urbana. The Kuhn vehicle then rear-ended a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado operated by 34-year old Jordan Michael Imoehl of West Union. Armstrong stated that she thought the Imoehl vehicle had turned and attempted to drive around the Kuhn vehicle and stated she was looking down for something. Kuhn experienced back pain and was taken to Regional Medial Center for treatment. Damage totaled 25-thousand. Armstrong was charged with No Proof of Financial Liability and Following Two Close.
On March 30th at 5:02pm a two-vehicle accident occurred on 330th Avenue. 19-year old Da Shiel Dean Lahr of Worthington was operating a 2016 Ford Explorer. 51-year old Brian Nickolas Gaul of Worthington was operating a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. Lahr was traveling northbound and Gaul southbound. Both drivers stated that they were traveling through a dust cloud caused by a southbound dump truck and collided. No injuries reported and damage totaled nine-thousand dollars. Lahr was charged with Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.
On April 13th at 12:28pm a single-vehicle accident occurred on 260th Avenue. 22-year old Trevor Michael Morris of Earlville was operating a 2003 Chevrolet K1500. Morris said he had been driving when the transmission went out and he lost power causing the vehicle to be driven into the ditch. Marks on the gravel road and ditch showed where the pickup had been swerving from side-to-side in the wet gravel several times before going into the ditch. No injuries reported and damage only totaled $250 dollars. Morris was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
