
Edmund Peter Schaul, 90, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at his home. He was born on September 17, 1934, in Luxemburg, the son of Aloysius and Viola (Stronck) Schaul. Ed was raised in the Masonville area and was a graduate of Lamont High School. He enlisted in the United States Army in March 1957 and was honorably discharged in February 1959.
On May 29, 1961, Ed was united in marriage to Sherry Malone at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chandler, Arizona. Six children were born to this union. Ed was involved in and invested in real estate over the years.
Ed was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester. He enjoyed feeding the squirrels, GAMBLING, and spending time at his Lake Delhi cabin with his family. Ed loved most of all, time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and furry grand pets. There was always a dollar to be had from grandpa.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Sherry Schaul; six children, Debbie Reeves of Manchester, Jimmy Schaul of Manchester, Cheryl (Larry) Benn of Dyersville, Eddie Schaul of Hiawatha, Tina (Scott) Wulfekuhle of Hiawatha, and Marie (Wally Gibson) Simpson of Galena, Illinois; 14 grandchildren, Kyle (Megan) Reeves, Seth (Holly) Reeves, Hayley (Zach Snyder) Schaul, Cassidy (Riley) Walter, Levi (Jenn) Benn, Mercedes (Garrick) Wayne, Job Schaul, Zoe Schaul, Dylan Wulfekuhle, Alec Wulfekuhle, Jared (Amanda Feddersen) Wulfekuhle, Reagan Simpson, Beckett Simpson, and Sawyer Simpson; 10 great grandchildren, Greyson, Jordan, Calvin, Elliott, Keller, Makyla, Rilynn, Harper, Waylan, and Westin; two brothers, Charlie (Barb) Schaul of North Glen, Colorado and Duane Schaul of Cedar Rapids; and sister, Marilyn (Rick) Miller of Manchester;
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul (Marilyn) Schaul, Arthur (Betty) Schaul, and Jimmy Schaul.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, Iowa, with Reverend Gabriel Anderson officiating.
Visitation: 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, Iowa. Friends may also call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church on Monday.
