The Elkader City Council set February 13th as the date for the Public Hearing on the Maximum Property Tax for the upcoming city budget.
The Council amended the current contract for engineering services with the Origin Design for the Keystone Bridge Project, with an increase in cost of 502-thousand dollars.

The Elkader City Council met on Monday, January 9, 2023 in regular session at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, with Mayor Josh Pope presiding. Update on bridge project Nate Miller from Origin Design was in attendance to provide an update on the bridge project. They are completing some concrete work and then will be done for the winter. Lane moved to approve

Begin discussion of FY 23-24 budget:
Review draft budget-Council began reviewing the draft budget with the department heads. Staff will continue to work on the budget and Council will discuss it at the next meeting.
Approval of Resolution 2023-03 - Resolution setting a public hearing for the Maximum Property Tax Dollars as required by IA CODE 384.15A (public hearing to be February 13, 2023) Henning moved to approve Resolution 2023-03. Lane seconded the motion.
