Fair Queen Candidates

Four Candidates are vying for the title of Clayton County Fair Queen. The new Fair Queen will be crowned on August 4th, with the ceremony at 6:30pm. Here are the candidates and bios......

Mackenzy Ruff is the daughter of Bob and Utoni Ruff from Garnavillo. Mackenzy is a graduate of MFL Mar-Mac and will be attending Iowa State University in the Fall for Animal Science. Mackenzy has been involved in 4-H, FFA, county council, National Honor Society, S.O.D.A, speech, volleyball, basketball, track and softball during her high school career. Mackenzy’s hobbies include volunteering at the Clayton County Food Shelf and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, gardening, wood working and spending time with her animals. Mackenzy’s future goals are to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and open up her own practice. Mackenzy’s queen candidacy is sponsored by Fisk’s Farm and Home Monona.

Reagan Stelken is the daughter of Nic and Tisha Stelken of Strawberry Point. Reagan is an incoming Junior at Edgewood-Colesburg High School. She is involved in volleyball, basketball, track, softball, art club, speech, 4-H, FBLA and student council. Reagan’s hobbies include playing sports, spending time with her family and friends, and working. Reagan plans to receive her CNA this year and start working within a nursing home. Her future plans are to attend a college to become a Dental Hygienist or Nurse. Reagan’s queen candidacy is sponsored by Little Bit of Country in Strawberry Point.

JayLyn Moore is the daughter of JoLynn and Aaron Moore of Guttenberg. JayLyn is an incoming Senior at Clayton Ridge. She is involved in 4-H, FFA, county council, NHS, basketball, softball, soccer, volleyball and track. JayLyn’s hobbies include working with cattle, playing sports, spending time on the river with family and friends, working and enjoying the outdoors. Her future plans upon graduating High School are to attend Iowa State University for either Veterinary Science or Ag Business. JayLyn’s queen candidacy is sponsored by the Guttenberg Motel.

Cerria Drips is the daughter of David and Tanya Drips of Garber. Cerria is an incoming Senior at Edgewood-Colesburg, where she is involved in volleyball, softball, FFA and yearbook. Cerria’s hobbies include working with and showing her fair animals, horseback riding, working and doing crafts. Her future plans after graduating from High School is to attend Hawkeye Community College for nursing and then transfer to a university for neonatal nursing. Cerria’s queen candidacy is sponsored by Everlasting HHC and Sears Auto Salvage.
