Fayette County Accident and Arrest

On October 22^nd, 2025, at approximately 5:36pm, The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received report of a 2-vehicle accident at the intersection of 70^th  Street/C Ave, Arlington. Upon further investigation it was determined that a Juvenile was operating a Silver 2009 Chevrolet Impala and rear ended a Grey 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Daniel Thole of Strawberry Point. There were no injuries reported to law enforcement. The Juvenile was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.

On October 22^nd, 2025, at approximately 7:27pm, a Fayette County Deputy arrested Shane Michael Solheim (age 50) of Ossian on an active Fayette County arrest warrant for a violation of Iowa Code Chapter 708.3A(3) - Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations – Bodily Injury, a D Felony. Shane was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
