On 3-12-25 at approximately 11:40 a.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an assault that took place at 115 Rich St in the City of Maynard. The victim had been transported to the hospital by private vehicle to be treated for her injuries. Upon further investigation Joseph G. Kane, 26 of Maynard, was charged with Willful injury (class “D” felony) and bond was set in the amount of $10,000.00 cash only. Kane was also charged with Assault and Violation of a No Contact Order (both simple misdemeanors) and bond was set in the amount of $1000.00 cash for these two warrants. Kane is being held in the Fayette County Jail.
