Fayette County Collision

On June9, 2025 at 1:49  PM the Fayette County Sheriff's Office took a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Kornhill Road and J Ave.  Once deputies and responders arrived, it was learned that a 2015 Toyota Corolla driven by 18-year-old Chylie Feuerhelm of Farmersburg was driving southbound on J Ave. when she ran the stop sign and collided with a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan that was going eastbound, driven by 43-year-old Melissa Shea of Wadena.  Both drivers were transported to Palmer Hospital with serious injuries.  Feuerhelm was cited for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.  Both vehicles were a total loss and the Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Fayette Ambulance, West Union Fire Department and the Fayette Fire Department.
