Fayette County Meth Arrest

On June 1, 2025, at approximately 8:52 am, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on Willow Street in West Union, IA. During the search illegal items were found and seized. Dale Patrick Winter, age 58 of West Union, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine - 3rd/Subsequent (D Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana – 3rd/Subsequent  (Aggravated Misdemeanor), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor). This search warrant stems from a previous incident on May 27, 2025, when Winter fled from the scene of a vehicle accident and was later apprehended by the Sheriff’s Office Drone Team. Winter is currently in jail on a $25,000 cash or surety bond, and awaits an initial appearance from a Magistrate Judge.

On 6-2-25 a Fayette County Deputy arrested Dale P. Winter, 58 of West Union on a Parole Violation Warrant. Winter is currently being held in the Fayette County Jail on a no bond hold.
