Fayette County Search and Traffic Arrest

On October 20, 2025, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office assisted in a Buchanan County Sheriff's Office Search Warrant of a residence near Winthrop. During the search illegal substances were seized. Additionally, Trenton Dean Boleyn, age 44 of Oelwein, was located and arrested on three valid Fayette County Warrants. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office transported Boleyn to the Fayette County Jail. Boleyn's warrants were for Failure to Appear - Serious Misdemeanor ($2000 cash only bond), Failure to Appear - Serious Misdemeanor ($2000 cash only bond), and Sex Offender Registration Violation - Aggravated Misdemeanor ($2500 bond, can post 10%). The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office where more charges are pending for Boleyn.

On October 18th, 2025, at approximately 8:09pm a Fayette County Deputy made a traffic stop on Mill Ave in Clermont. The driver was identified as Cory Weber, age 22 of Cedar Rapids. An investigation determined that Cory had a revoked driver's license with multiple withdraws. Cory was arrested and charged with Driving While License Revoked, No SR-22 insurance, and given a citation for the speed. He was transported to the Fayette County Jail for an initial appearance.
