The MFL MarMac Girls outscored Jesup 33-19 in the second half to overcome a halftime deficit and pick up a 56-44 win over the J-Hawks. Riley Moreland led the Bulldogs with 24, including 16 in the second half. Kayden Gillitzer scored 15, including 13 in the second quarter to help the Bulldogs overcome a slow start. Jesup was led by Amanda Treptow with 13. Natalie O'Conner and Jacie Lange added 8-each. The J-Hawks led 14-7 at the end of none. Gillitzer hit three 3-pointers in the second and the Bulldogs only trailed 25-23 at the half. Moreland took over offensively and the defense shut down Jesup. The J-Hawks hit just at 27-percent(15 of 56), including 6 of 27 in the second half. MFL MarMac finished at 43-percent(21 of 49). MFL MarMac, now 16 and 6, advances into the Regional Semi-Final and will play at Number One Maquokata Valley on Friday Night at 7pm. The Wildcats advanced with a 68-18 win over Starmont. Jesup closes the season at 13 and 9.
