Garnavillo man arrested on active Clayton County warrant

On November 25^th, 2025, at approximately 6:04 p.m., a Garnavillo police officer took John Whitesell, 34, of Garnavillo, into custody on an active Clayton County arrest warrant for failure to appear. This stemmed from an arrest by the Garnavillo Police Department in September in which Mr. Whitesell was charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1^st Offense. Mr. Whitesell did not appear at his scheduled court date for said charge and was subsequently arrested and provided transportation to the Clayton County Jail by the Garnavillo Police Department.
