Lancaster, WI – May 2025 marks two critical statewide observances: Aging and Disability  Resource Center (ADRC) Month and Older Americans Month, as proclaimed by Governor Tony  Evers. These recognitions highlight the invaluable contributions of older adults and the vital  support provided by ADRCs across Wisconsin, including the dedicated team at the Grant County  ADRC.

This year’s Older Americans Month theme, “Flip the Script on Aging,” encourages all  Wisconsinites to challenge age-related biases and recognize that aging is a dynamic, life-long  process. Grant County and Wisconsin's older adults continue to shape communities through  caregiving, volunteerism, leadership, and mentorship. Their time, talents, and lived experiences  enrich civic life and drive progress.

“Our older residents are not just aging—they are leading, giving back, and shaping the future,”  said Lori Reid, Director of the Grant County ADRC. “We’re proud to serve and support them  through every stage of life.”

At the heart of that support is the Grant County ADRC, a trusted and accessible resource that  helps individuals of all ages and abilities navigate long-term care, understand available services,  and remain independent in the community. From providing unbiased information to offering  caregiver support and benefits counseling, ADRCs empower individuals and families to make  informed decisions and plan confidently for the future.

Throughout May, the Grant County ADRC will celebrate these statewide observances by  recognizing the wisdom, advocacy, and strength of the county’s older residents and spotlighting  the essential work of ADRC staff who serve them every day.
