Grant County Authorities Release Information on Motorcycle Crash with Injuries and Minor Injuries Reported in a One-Vehicle Accident

 Motorcycle Crash w/ Injuries  

On 8/1/26, at approximately 5:17pm, a Grant County Deputy came upon a motorcycle crash seconds after it occurred on County Line Rd., just off of Hwy 80, south of Livingston, in Clifton Township.  

Robert Myers, 75, of Livingston, was southbound on Hwy 80, on his 1988 Harley Davidson motorcycle. As Myers attempted to turn left onto County Line Rd., he lost control and left the roadway. Myers struck the ditch and was thrown off of the motorcycle.  

Robert was transported by Montfort EMS, to the landing zone, which was set up at The Friendly Place convenience store in Livingston, where he was transferred to a Med-Flight helicopter and flown to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.  

The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Livingston Fire, Livingston First Responders, Montfort Rescue Squad, UW-Med-Flight, and Haase Service and Towing of Montfort.  

On August 1st, 2026, at approximately 10:10PM, the Grant County Sheriff's Office received a report of a one-vehicle crash near 4306 Slazing Rd., in Potosi Township.  

A 2010 Dodge Caravan, driven by Steven Ralston, of Dickeyville, failed to negotiate a left hand turn in the road. Ralston's vehicle left roadway to the south and came to rest near a field. Ralston was treated on scene for a minor injury by Potosi EMS. Ralston's vehicle suffered minor damage and was removed from the scene by Donnie's Towing of Dickeyville.  

The Grant County Sheriff's Office was also assisted at the scene by the Potosi Fire Department.  

Ralston was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
