On July 28, 2026, at approximately 6:22am, the Grant County Dispatch Center received a report of a one vehicle crash with possible injuries on Hwy 133 near the intersection with CTH K, in Woodman Township.

When the Deputy arrived on scene, he learned Jeffrey Mckinney, 61, of Rock Island, IL, was driving a 2020 Ford van, owned by Bonnett Wholesale Florist, northbound on HWY 133. At that time Mckinney swerved to miss a rabbit and went into the ditch on the right side of the road. The vehicle then went over a culvert, crossed the road, and struck an embankment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, and Mckinney was transported by Boscobel EMS to Gunderson Boscobel Area Hospital for possible injuries.

Mckinney was cited for failure to maintain control.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisting at the scene by Boscobel EMS, Mount Hope Fire, and Terry's Tire and Tow out of Boscobel.

On July 30th, 2026, the Grant County Sheriff's Office was notified of a one-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle, on Highway 151 near Major Lane, in Platteville Township.

Deputies discovered that 20-year-old Autumn Reuter, of Potosi, was traveling South on Highway 151 on her 2025 Honda CMX300 when she struck a deer. Reuter was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Reuter was transported to Southwest Health Center for treatment of her injuries.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Platteville Fire Department, Southwest Health EMS, and Precision Towing.
