Grant County Authorities Release Information on UTV Crash with Injuries

UTV Crash with injuries 

On August 21, at 1:32 PM, the Grant County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call regarding a UTV rollover crash with injuries, on Diamond Grove Road, south of Cty V, in Beetown Township.  

When deputies arrived on scene, they learned the male driver and female passenger, both juveniles, were operating a Polaris UTV for agricultural purposes, on Diamond Grove Road. Evidence at scene indicated that while going down a hill the UTV began to slide in the roadway. The UTV rolled one time ejecting the driver from the UTV. The passenger remained in the UTV. Neither the driver or passenger were wearing seat belts or protective gear.  

The male driver was transported to Grant Regional Health Center by West Grant EMS, with life threatening injuries, and then flown by UW-Med Flight to a hospital in Madison.  

The female passenger was transported to Grant Regional Health Center by Cassville EMS with suspected injuries.  The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources were notified of the crash and responded to the scene.
