Reported Crash leads to arrest for OWI - 2nd Offense
On June 28, 2026, at 4:17 a.m., the Grant County Communication Center was notified of a vehicle that went into a ditch on County D near College Farm Rd., in the township of Platteville. The reporting party informed dispatch the driver was attempting to get the vehicle out of the ditch. Assistance was requested from the Platteville Police Department, and when the deputy arrived on scene, Alyssa Tiegs, 32, of Darlington, was identified as the driver. Tiegs was uninjured and the truck she was driving did not sustain any damage.
During the investigation, Tiegs displayed signs of impairment, and as a result was arrested for operating while under the influence, 2nd offense.
The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Platteville Police Department, and Ripps Towing removed the vehicle.
