Grant County Motorcycle Fatality

Single Motorcycle Crash - Fatality 

On June 6, 2025, at 8:30 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a one vehicle motorcycle crash at the intersection of CTY C & CTY X, in the Township of Wyalusing.  

The investigation determined that Ryan Phillips, 43, of Peosta, IA, was traveling south on CTH C ,on his 2015 Harley Davidson, and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with CTH X. Phillips traveled through the intersection, striking the curb on the south side of CTH X. As a result of the crash, Phillips was thrown from the motorcycle.  

The Bagley First Responders and West Grant EMS were paged to the scene. Phillips was transported to Crossing Rivers Hospital in Prairie Du Chien, where he was later pronounced dead.  

Phillips' motorcycle sustained heavy damage and had to be removed from the scene.  

The Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted by West Grant EMS, Bagley First Responders, Bloomington Fire Department, and Doan's Towing.
