Guttenberg Council

The Guttenberg City Council is beginning the process of selling the Bender Property, next to the Grocery Store. A bid of 54-thousand was received from Nathan Trappe who plans on constructing an office building in that area.

The Council accepted a bid from Richard and Phoebe Johnson for the former Palmer House Property for 20-thousand.

The Council approved purchasing a Courtesy Dock, just north of the Lock and Dam for nearly 44-thousand.

The Council approved a zoning request for the new brewery that will be opening at the corner of Schiller and First Street.

The Council is looking for Non-profit groups to take over the Rec Concessions Stands. Interested parties should contact the city.

Emily Yaddof resigned as Community Vitality Director, the city will begin the process of looking for a replacement.

Austin Winch was appointed to the Fire Department.
