Illinois man injured in SUV-Deer accident, Dubuque man charged after single-vehicle accident in Delaware County

An Illinois man was injured in a SUV-deer accident in Delaware County. Authorities report that on December 15th at 5:17pm, 38-year old Phillip M. Scott of Great Lakes, Illinois was operating a 2022 Mitsubishi SUV on Highway 20 when a deer entered the roadway. Scott attempted to avoid the animal but was unable. Scott was transported to Regional Medical Center in Manchester for treatment of injuries. Damage totaled six-thousand dollars.
A Dubuque man was charged in OWI and other charges after a single-accident in Delaware County. Authorities report that on December 14th at 6:07pm, 55-year old Jeremy Charles Reddin was operating a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu on 270th Avenue near Earlville when his vehicle entered the road ditch, side swiping a sign and became stuck in the snow. Reddin was not injured but was charged with Operating While Under the Influence, Second Offense, Failure to Maintain Control, and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.
A Hopkinton man escaped injury in connection with a weather-related accident in Delaware County. 38-year old David Lee Dirks was operating a 2002 Ford Ranger. Dirks was eastbound on 240th Street and lost control on a curve where the vehicle entered the ditch and rolled over coming to rest on it's top. Dirks was not injured and damage totaled four-thousand dollars. The accident occurred on December 18th at 2:12pm.
