An Edgewood man has received a fine in connection with an insurance fraud case. 24-year old Joseph D. Hansel was originally charged with insurance fraud-presenting false information after a collision last year that involved his vehicle and a parked vehicle. It was determined that Hansel was not in his vehicle at the time of the accident. Hansel pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of fourth-degree theft in Clayton County District Court and was fined $430. Two other charges were dismissed.
