January 30th Scores

The Ed-Co Girls grabbed control by racing out to a 24-0 first quarter and they rolled to a 69-5 win over Starmont. Audrie Helmrichs led four Vikings in double-figures with 16. Lilee Boriskey added 14-off the bench. Ellie Kirby and Claire Aulwes scored 11-each. The Vikings pushed the lead to 38-5 at the break and started the moving clock early in the third. The Stars were held without a point in the second half. Natalie Hamlett hit a three-pointer and Aleaya Cornwell added a bucket in the second quarter for the only scoring of the night for Starmont. Ed-Co improves to 16 and 4, 11 and 3 in the Conference. Starmont falls to 0 and 19, 0 and 13 in the League.

The Starmont Boys raced out to a 9-0 lead and then stopped a late Ed-Co rally to win 42-27. Kyle Sherman led the Stars with 16 and Jack Thole added a dozen. Ed-Co was led by Will Wiskus with 10 and Caden Cole scored eight. The Stars led by eleven at the half and pushed it to 32-18 at the end of three. The Vikings started the quarter on a 9-0 run but could get no closer. Starmont closed the game by outscoring Ed-Co 10-0 down the stretch. Starmont is now 3 and 15, 1 and 11 in the Conference. Ed-Co drops to 4 and 16, 2 and 11 in the League.
