K-9 Unit Traffic Stop

On Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 12:15 a.m. the Prairie du Chien K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for equipment violations on the 200 block of S. Marquette Road. During the course of the traffic stop, K-9 Phoenix was deployed to conduct a free open-air sniff of the vehicle, resulting in a final indication to one or more controlled substances within the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in seizing a .22 revolver, .22 ammunition, THC, and other controlled substances.

The driver, Jena Trumm, 30 of Boscobel, WI, was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle while under the Influence of a Restricted Controlled Substance (1st Offense), Endangering Safety by use of a Dangerous Weapon, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, Carrying an Unauthorized Concealed Weapon, Possession of THC, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer, and for an active arrest warrant through Grant County, WI.

Members from Crossing Rivers Health and the Crawford County Sheriff's Office assisted with this incident. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Milo's Towing & Repair, LLC.
