Kenneth J. Chappell, 88, of Arlington, Iowa, died peacefully on Saturday morning, August 15, 2026, at his home.

There will not be a funeral service.

Final Resting Place: Taylorsville Cemetery, Arlington, Iowa.

Kenneth James Chappell was the son of George Arthur & Loretta Mae (Keilholtz) Chappell. He graduated from Volga High School in the class of 1955. Ken was united in marriage to Wanda Mae Koehler on June 1, 1957, at the Lutheran Church in West Union, Iowa. He was a rural mail carrier for the Arlington Post Office.

Ken was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Arlington. He had formerly been a member of the Arlington Fire Department.

Ken is survived by his Wife: Wanda Chappell of Arlington;

2 Daughters: Jackie (Dave) Green of Urbandale &

Janet (Mike) Beer of Bondurant;

3Granddaughters;

Several Great Grandchildren;

2 Brothers: Donald (Jeanie) Chappell of Manchester &

Lloyd (Mary Jo) Chappell of Cedar Rapids and

Nieces & Nephews.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Kurt.
