Pella Christian advanced into the Class 2-A State Semi-Final with a 61-54 win over MFL MarMac. Aiden Stoltz led a balanced attack with 15, Tyson DeVries scored a dozen and Josiah Vos and Lincoln VanderMolen each scored 8. MFL MarMac was led by Zach Driscoll, who led all scorers with 22-points, and had 8-rebounds. Carver Blietz-Bentein scored 15-points and added 7-boards. The Bulldogs raced out to an early 19-9 lead in the first quarter. The Eagles responded with a 14-0 run at the end of the first and into the second. MFL MarMac then regrouped and went on an 8-0 run to go back in front at 27-23. However, the Eagles answered with an 8-0 run and they would never trail again. Pella Christian led 38-31 at the break. The Bulldogs were able to get back within 49-47 early in the fourth, but could no closer. MFL MarMac closes the season at 24 and 2. Pella Christian will face Top-seeded Central Lyon in the Class 2-A Semi-Final on Thursday at 10:30am. Central Lyon handled Des Moines Christian, 74-41.
