Representatives of MidWestOne Bank, Beckman Catholic High School and St. Francis Xavier Elementary gathered at Beckman Catholic in Dyersville, Iowa, on Thursday, February 19, to recognize the MidWestOne Bank Foundation’s $50,000 gift to the schools’ joint capital campaign. The One Faith. One Family. One Future. capital campaign, launched Fall 2025, aims to fund capital improvements across both school campuses and grow their respective endowments.

“As a proud alumnus of Beckman Catholic High School, I’m honored to see the MidWestOne Bank Foundation invest $50,000 in a place that had such a profound impact on my life. This contribution to the school’s capital campaign reflects our foundation’s commitment to strengthening communities and supporting institutions that shape future leaders. I’m grateful to work for an organization that recognizes the importance of education and believes in giving back in meaningful, lasting ways,” said Vice President Jason Heisler, Beckman Catholic Class of 1994. Present with Heisler for the presentation were fellow MidWestOne colleagues and Beckman alumni Sheila Tegeler (’82) and Tanya Ostwinkle (’94) along with Regional President Pat Hogrefe. Marcel Kielkucki, Beckman Catholic principal, and Peter Smith, Xavier Elementary principal, accepted the gift on behalf of the schools.

“We are grateful for the generosity of the MidWestOne Foundation and their contribution toward our campaign,” said Kielkucki. “We appreciate their continued financial support of our schools.”

With an original campaign goal of $7 million, the campaign for Beckman and Xavier has received nearly $8 million in gifts and pledges toward a $9 million updated ‘stretch’ goal. Already, this campaign is the schools’ largest and most successful fundraising initiative in their history.

“A big thank you from Xavier and Beckman to MidWestOne for supporting our local Catholic Schools and the communities we serve! This generosity is impactful and very much appreciated,” said Smith.

Beckman Catholic High School and St. Francis Xavier Elementary cultivate the full potential of each individual through the pursuit of academic, spiritual, and personal excellence. In union with their families, the Church, and the greater community, they strive to lead and serve as disciples of Jesus Christ in this world and to live as saints for eternity. Together, they employ over 100 faculty and staff and have offered nearly 170 years of Catholic education to children of Dyersville and surrounding areas.
