No Injuries in Winneshiek Co. Crash

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office investigated a two-vehicle crash that happened on July 17 on Highway 24 near the intersection of 273 Avenue.

75-year-old Rosemary Andera of Fort Atkinson was driving a Buick LeSabre south on Highway 24 and said she must not have been paying attention or had the sun in her face. She did not see that the vehicle in front of her had stopped and collided with the rear of the vehicle.

The other vehicle was a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 19-year-old Kaden Barton-Franzen of St. Lucas. Barton-Franzen said he was stopped waiting to make a left turn when the crash occurred.

Andera was cited for following too closely.
