On August 4 the Northeast Iowa Quilters Guild will meet at 2:00 and 7:00 pmat Robey Memorial Library in Waukon with a virtual program. We will be given an online tour of the Iowa Quilt Museum Retrospective, an exhibit celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Iowa Quilt Museum. A quote from their website explains their celebration.
“In 2026, the Iowa Quilt Museum will celebrate a decade of sharing the artistry, history, and heart of quilting with visitors from around the world. To mark this milestone, we are curating a special anniversary exhibition featuring quilts by artists who have exhibited with us over the past ten years.mThis commemorative show will offer a beautiful look back—highlighting the creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship of the many quilters who have helped shape the museum’s story. From traditional to contemporary, from beloved classics to bold new visions, this exhibit will honor the makers who have filled our gallery with inspiration throughout our first decade.
We look forward to celebrating this remarkable milestone with you.”
There should be a quilt style to suit everyone’s taste.
We will have our regular business meeting after the program. Visitors are welcome to attend. Members will receive a Zoom link via email if they are unable to attend in person. You may register that day for our quilt workshop, Mexican Cross, on September 2nd with Linda Halpin. For more information please contact Ila Benzing at ila.benzing@gmail.com.
