Get the Scoop on Volunteering with Northeast Iowa RSVP

Are you 55 or better, retired but not tired, and looking for a way to make a difference in your community?

AmeriCorps Seniors Northeast Iowa RSVP invites area residents to “Get the Scoop” on volunteering and learn about local volunteer opportunities in Clayton and northern Fayette counties. Attendees can enjoy a free single-scoop ice cream cone or sundae while discovering ways to share their time, talents and experience with their communities. In

• Thursday, August 20 – Garnavillo: Thoma's Dairy Bar Café, 103 S. Main St. from 10:30-11:30 am

• Thursday, August 20 – Guttenberg: Guttenberg Public Library, 603 S. 2nd St. from 2:00-3:00 p.m.  Ice cream coupons are redeemable at Pearl’s Diner.

• Tuesday, August 25 – McGregor: Sadie’s Sweet Shop, 126 Main St. from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

• Thursday, August 27 – West Union: West Union Community Library, 210 N. Vine St. from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Ice cream coupons are redeemable at Barrel Drive-In, with the first 25 coupons donated by Barrel Drive-In.

The Get the Scoop events offer an opportunity to learn more about RSVP and explore volunteer opportunities available throughout Clayton and northern Fayette counties. Whether you enjoy helping others, sharing a skill, supporting local organizations or simply want to become more involved in your community, there may be an opportunity that is right for you.
