Grundy Center won their second consecutive State Championship with a 42-0 win over MFL MarMac in the Class 1-A Title Game. Colin Gordon completed 17 of 25-passes for 242-yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Gordon also added touchdown runs of 1 and 4 as the Spartans took control early. Justin Knaack carried 10-times for 64-yards, had a 9-yard scoring reception and added a 6-yard touchdown run. Tate Jirovsky contributed 3-receptions for 53-yards, including a 26-yard touchdown. The Bulldogs were held to just six first-downs and 127-yards of total offense. Carver Blietz-Bentien tallied 44-yards on 13-carries, Bryce Radloff totaled 40-yards on 5-carries, before leaving with an injury. Grundy Center, which won the title in Class A a season ago, finishes 13 and 0, winning their 26th game in a row. MFL MarMac, which ended their season with their first ever Championship Game appearance, closes the season 11 and 2.
