Oelwein Police release information on two arrest incidents and a motor vehicle accident

At 4:46pm on November 23, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Christopher Dale Fox, 45, of Oelwein.  Fox was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury - Serious Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made following reports of a domestic disturbance in the 10 block of S Frederick Ave.

At 9:36am on November 22, 2025, Oelwein Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of W Charles St and 6th Ave SW.  A silver 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Joann Cacciottolo struck the side of a red 2018 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Jason Gruenberg.  Initial estimates of damages were $500 to the vehicle driven by Cacciottolo and $2,000 to the vehicle driven by Gruenberg.  Cacciottolo was assigned fault for the accident and was issued citations for Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability and Failure to Obey Stop Sign and Yield Right of Way.

At 7:57pm on November 22,2025, Oelwein Police arrested Abbegail Jean Kimball, 19, of Oelwein.  Kimball was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance - Serious Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 100 block of E Charles St.
