On 11-23-24, at approximately 9:00PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and Oelwein Police Department executed a search warrant at 201 5th Avenue NE Oelwein IA. During a search illegal substances and items were found and seized. Mark Allen Shaw, 60 of Cedar Rapids was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine 3rd Offense, a Class D Felony. Natalie Jolene Lapole, 31 of Oelwein was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Child Endangerment, aggravated misdemeanors, Possession of Controlled Substance, a serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Shaw and Lapole were taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail where they awaited initial appearance. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office and Canine Unit.
