The Postville City Council approved a resolution for 400-thousand dollars in general obligation bonds. The agreement calls for the money to be borrowed at an interest rate of 4.92-percent. The City is using the money to purchase land for a Housing Development Project behind the Dollar General location.
The Council set January 23rd as a Budget Workshop date.
They also appointed two council members to help work with the Fire Department on an agreement to seperate the Fire Department from the city.
