Postville Council

The Postville City Council received word that property and liability insurance for the city is expected to increase 30-percent, along with concerns about deductibles. The city will continue to look discuss the issue at it's April meeting.

The Council also approved the purchase of a 2025 Ford Explorer for the Police Department at a cost of nearly 44-thousand. The Council also approved the purchase of in-car and body cameras at a cost of 52-thousand over a five-year period.

The Council set April 8th as the date for the public hearing to sell nearly five acres of land on Quarry Hill, north of the city. The minimum bid is 50-thousand dollars.
