Over the past several weeks, the Prairie du Chien Police Department and the Clayton County Sheriff's Office have been jointly investigating multiple individuals suspected of acquiring and distributing significant quantities of methamphetamine throughout the Prairie du Chien and Clayton County area.

As part of this ongoing investigation, on June 5, 2025, law enforcement executed a residential search warrant in the 400 block of South Beaumont Road. During the search, officers seized a small amount of methamphetamine and various items used to ingest the methamphetamine.

While enroute to a second search warrant location within the City of Prairie du Chien, law enforcement observed a male subject with active arrest warrants exiting a known drug house. The individual, identified as Sean M. Hogan, 43, of Prairie du Chien, was arrested for his warrant. A subsequent search revealed methamphetamine and related paraphernalia. Hogan was transported to the Crawford County Jail and booked for Possession of Methamphetamine, along with charges stemming from outstanding warrants and potential probation violations.

At the second residence, located in the 100 block of South Prairie Street, officers served a search warrant and discovered multiple items indicative of methamphetamine sales, including approximately one ounce of crystal methamphetamine. Jeffrey G. Seymour, 64, of Prairie du Chien, was arrested and booked into the Crawford County Jail on the following charges:

• Delivery of Methamphetamine (10–50 grams)

• Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place

• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

• Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver (10–50 grams)

• Possession of Methamphetamine ( grams)

Following these searches, officers observed two individuals leaving the previously known drug house on bicycles. Both were detained and arrested. A search of their residence was conducted and resulted in the location of methamphetamine, a digital scale, hundreds of small baggies used for drug packaging, and numerous additional items associated with the sale and delivery of methamphetamine.

The individuals were identified as:

• Sheri L. Schroeder, 47, of Prairie du Chien, WI, who was booked into the Crawford County Jail for Delivery of Methamphetamine ( grams) and is currently being held on a parole violation.
