Quilters Guild

The Northeast Iowa Quilters’ Guild will next meet at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm in the Community Room of the Savings Bank in Luana on Tuesday, July 5. A review of entry rules and dates for the four county fairs in our corner of the state will be presented. The second annual Trash-to Cash will also be held. Members are requested to bring in formerly loved fabric, kits, and gadgets - no books or patterns this year, please. Other members will peruse the treasures, choose what they wish, and pay what they like. All proceeds go toward the October quilt show. Members who purchased items at last year’s event are invited to bring their finished projects in to show. A reminder for the July 7 Airing of the Quilts in Decorah will also be presented. As always, members will display a show-and-tell of projects recently completed, as well as information and late breaking news. Guests are welcome. For more information, please contact Mike Ellingsen at 507.602.0322, or check out the NEIQG home page (www.neiqg.com) and the NEIQG Facebook page (NorthEast Iowa Quilters’ Guild). The NorthEast Iowa Quilters’ Guild is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that meets on the first Tuesday of the month, with meetings at 2:00 and 7:00 pm. A short business meeting is followed by announcements, show-and-tell, and a program or presentation by a quilting expert. New members are always welcome.
