No serious injuries were reported when a Maquoketa Valley School District bus carrying 17-students tipped onto it’s side. Superintendent Dave Hoeger reports that the driver was traveling on 332nd Street south of Hopkinton after school on Tuesday when the accident occurred. Hoeger stated that the bus driver looked in the mirror to view students and when he looked back he realized the bus was entering the ditch on the left side of the roadway. The bus returned to the road before entering the ditch on the right side, the bus was nearly stopped when it tipped over onto its right side. Hoeger said emergency personnel evaulated the students at the scene and no serious injuries were reported. Students were released at the scene with parents or school staff.
